Need some extra push to make it through the next 2 weeks? Here are two tips you can use to “revamp” your training plan:
- Do More Than Run. Incorporate cross-training into your workout routine. Try activities that can increase your flexibility, strength, and conditioning. Yoga and weight training are great options to add to your weekly training routine.
- Visit a Running Store. Make it a habit to stop by a local running store on a regular basis to pick up race applications, new running accessories, or magazines. Your motivation will be lifted when you put yourself in an environment that supports your goals.
Also, as you are getting tired and sore from running, just like it is important for you to get your body checked-out, it is just as important for you to keep your mind healthy. I am happy to be a resource for you when motivation is down and you’re feeling some self doubt.
