Chelsey is originally from Pensacola, Florida. She attended Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia where she received her B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Interpersonal Counseling. Following her undergraduate degree, she obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. During graduate school, Chelsey gained experience working at Price Counseling Center, which provides treatment for the DUI court and Misdemeanor Drug Court of Cherokee County. In this private practice setting, she had the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele on a variety of issues, including addictions, adolescents, anger, depression, trauma, mental health, and chronic health concerns.
Addictions: substance abuse or dependence, including alcohol and drugs, gambling addictions.
Adolescents: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, experiences with bullying, self-esteem, trauma, obsessions and compulsions, social and behavioral problems, and identity concerns.
Conflict Management: peer conflict, family conflict, anxiety and fears, entitlement, and emotional disturbances.
Women’s Issues: self-esteem, body image, eating disorders, trauma, relationship issues, codependence, faith and spirituality issues.
Health Concerns: disabilities, chronic illness, chronic pain, grief and loss.
